The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo is a spectacular celebration of music, ceremony, and tradition set against the stunning backdrop of Edinburgh Castle. Featuring military bands, dancers, and performers from around the world, it’s an unforgettable showcase of pride, precision, and pageantry.
Royal George Hotel, Perth
This delightful hotel is located in the heart of Perth and has been welcoming guests for over 250 years, including royal guests such as Queen Victoria. Facilities at the hotel include a bar, lounge, restaurant, gym and games room. All rooms are en suite and offer TV, Wi-Fi and tea/coffee making facilities. Please note: This hotel does not have a lift or rooms on the ground floor.

Kelpies Visitor Centre
On the way to your main hotel, you stop at the famous Kelpies Visitor Centre to take in the wonder of these 30ft horse sculptures, the largest of their kind in the world. The visitor centre is also home to a café and a gift shop which you will have time to peruse!

Today you have a day at leisure in your host town of Perth, including a visit to the Perth Museum. This fascinating museum reopened to the public in 2024 after an 8-year renovation and tells the story of Perth, including the Stone of Scone, known as the "Stone of Destiny". The Stone has been used to crown kings and queens and was also used in the coronation of King Charles III. The rest of the day is free for you to enjoy Perth or simply relax at the hotel.

You have a leisurely departure from the hotel today and head to the capital city of Scotland, Edinburgh. You have free time to explore the city at leisure and purchase dinner prior to making your way to the castle to take your seat for the incredible Edinburgh Tattoo. Celebrating British military, Scottish heritage and international culture this is an experience you do not want to miss.

*No coach transfers are included today as the hotel is so close to the museum.
**Bed and breakfast only on the day of the tattoo. It will be your responsibility to purchase your own dinner in Edinburgh.
***The Edinburgh Tattoo takes place outdoors at Edinburgh Castle, there will be numerous stairs to negotiate to access your seat. Due to the nature of this tour, it may not be suitable for those with limited mobility.

There will be a £100 non-refundable deposit required to secure a place on this tour due to having to purchase the tattoo tickets.
