Dales Museum & Wensleydale Creamery
This morning you journey through the Dales to the picturesque village of Hawes to visit the Dales Museum. This museum tells the fascinating story of the Yorkshire Dales and the people who have lived and worked here. There will be a little free time to explore Hawes at leisure before you continue onto the Wensleydale Creamery, the artisan cheesemaker steeped in heritage with over 875 years of history! Here you will experience a demonstration of how this popular cheese and butter is made, all whilst being surrounded by stunning landscape in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales National Park.
Wensleydale Railway
Wensleydale Railway & Thirsk
Today you head to Leeming Bar Station to board the historic Wensleydale Railway. This scenic railway first opened in March 1848 and offers beautiful scenery and views across the dales as you sit back and relax. Your driver will meet you at Leyburn station to convey you to the pretty old fashioned market town of Thirsk, famous for its connections to James Herriot. Time is yours here to explore at leisure before returning to the hotel.
