This morning you visit the vibrant and historic city of Lichfield. Here you'll find streets lined with museums, shops and delicious restaurants! Lichfield is also home to a stunning ancient cathedral, full of magnificent architecture and a rich heritage. This afternoon you continue onto the National Memorial Arboretum. The arboretum is often described as a beautiful and inspiring place and is home to over 400 memorials which remember people from all walks of life.
Little Moreton Hall
Little Moreton Hall & Rudyard Lake with Miniature Railway
Your first visit today is to Little Moreton Hall. Often described as higgledy-piggledy, this timber-framed house with its tumbling architecture has defied logic for over 500 years. It is a wonderfully quirky place to explore, full of character and charm. Step outside and you'll discover a delightful Elizabethan knot garden and a peaceful moat that gracefully surrounds the hall. This afternoon you journey to Rudyard lake to board the miniature railway. This 3 mile return journey runs alongside the lake and offers stunning picturesque views.
Trentham Gardens &
Trentham Gardens & Foxfield Light Railway
This morning you travel to the award-winning Trentham Gardens. These beautiful gardens have a charming Italian theme and surround a spectacular Capability-Brown designed lake. After you have enjoyed the garden, there is time to explore the garden centre and shopping village before continuing on for a journey on the Foxfield's Light Railway.
