This morning you visit the World of James Herriot. This award-winning visitor attraction is the former home and veterinary surgery where the world-famous vet lived, practised and wrote his best-selling books. After your visit here, you have some free time to explore the market town of Thirsk at leisure before you have a single journey on the Wensleydale Railway from Leeming Bar to Leyburn.

Today you travel into the Yorkshire Dales for a visit to Grassington, one of the prettiest villages Yorkshire has to offer with its numerous tea rooms and quaint shops. From here, you take the short journey to Skipton for some free time. Skipton offers its visitors great history, independent shops, a famous market and an iconic castle.
Wensleydale Creamery
Wensleydale Creamery & Hawes
Your day begins with a visit to Wensleydale Creamery for a demonstration on the making of the famous Wensleydale cheese and guided tour. You then have a visit to Hawes. At 850 feet above sea level, Hawes is a magical little market town. Lastly today, after some free time you have a fascinating sheepdog demonstration in Hawes.
