A guide will join you on the coach today and take you across the sandy causeway to the mysterious Holy Island of Lindisfarne, giving you fantastic views of the North Sea. Your guide will also take you to Heatherslaw Light Railway for a single journey, the most northerly steam railway in England. As if this wasn't enough, you'll also visit Lady Waterford Hall, the Victorian Schoolroom which is home to an incredible selection of pre-Raphaelite murals.

Famed as 'Windsor of the North', where the Duke and Duchess of Northumberland still reside, Alnwick Castle has been owned by the Percy family since 1309. Today you have a guided tour of the Castle where you will be shown iconic settings which have graced the screens of numerous Hollywood blockbusters such as Harry Potter and Downton Abbey. You then return to Newcastle, where the remainder of the day is yours to explore at leisure.
