The Nobleman
This luxurious ship, the Nobleman, was only built in late 2025, and is Van Loon Cruises latest 135 metre modern cruise vessel. With just 84 premium cabins, amenities on board include a gym, massage room, sauna, bar, lounge and restaurant. There is a lift on the ship, but not to the top deck.

Day 1
Day 1 - You have an early departure this morning as you travel to Dover for the ferry crossing to Calais. Once in Calais, you continue on to your overnight hotel in the Metz area.
Day 2
Day 2 - Travel by coach to Basel in Switzerland to join the ship. The ship doesn't depart Basel until tomorrow evening, but you can arrive any time from 3:00pm today.
Day 3
Day 3 - You have the choice today to either explore Basel at leisure, or add on the spectacular optional excursion* and have the opportunity to experience Switzerland in motion aboard one of Veenus' signature train charters. Departing from Basel, your journey unfolds through awe-inspiring alpine landscapes as the train glides effortlessly into the heart of the Swiss Alps. Settle into your panoramic coach and enjoy a welcome drink, complemented by regional Swiss snacks and wine served along the route. Throughout the journey, onboard guides bring the scenery to life, sharing stories that deepen your connection to every valley, peak and village that drifts past your window. Depart Basel at 6:00pm to continue on to Breisach.
Day 4
Day 4 - Today you are treated to a full day guided coach tour of the Black Forest, where in hillside villages the 17th century art of cuckoo clockmaking still thrives. Enjoy a scenic mountain drive through pine-covered valleys, past waterfalls and home to the region's sweetest legend, the Black Forest cake. You depart Breisach at 4:00pm to travel on to Mannheim.
Day 5
Day 5 - You have a have day guided tour of Mannheim today, the 'City of Inventions'. Mannheim is the birthplace of the bicycle, the automobile and the tractor, this city has shaped modern mobility! Its distinctive grid-style layout has earnt it the nickname 'City of Squares', which sets it apart from any other German city. You depart at 6:00pm to journey on to Mainz.
Day 6
Day 6 - You are in for a real treat today as you are taken for a vineyard tour in Mainz, the 'Great Wine Capital' and largest wine-growing region in Germany. You leave Mainz at 2:00pm to continue on to Speyer.
Day 7
Day 7 - You are taken for a half day walking tour of Speyer today, one of Germany's oldest towns. Speyer is crowned by its magnificent cathedral, a UNESCO World Heritage site and the largest Romanesque church in the world! The town holds a remarkable treasure of the world's oldest unopened bottle of wine, preserved since the days of the Roman Empire. You leave Speyer at 5:00pm this afternoon to travel to Strasbourg.
Day 8
Day 8 - Time is yours this morning to explore Strasbourg at leisure. Set on the border of France and Germany, Strasbourg reveals a maze of half-timbered houses and flower-lined canals. Its city centre holds a special distinction as the first entire city centre in France to be named a UNESCO World Heritage site. You depart here at 1:00pm to travel back to Basel.
Day 9
Day 9 - This morning you disembark the ship after breakfast and travel by coach to your overnight hotel in the Reims area.
Day 10
Day 10 - You depart the hotel this morning and continue on to Calais for your return journey back to the UK.

This cruise is not suitable for anyone who uses a mobility aid due to the layout of the ship and ship safety.
This cruise involves substantial walking due to berth locations, and you must be able to navigate steps throughout the ship. There is no lift access to the top deck.
*The optional train journey comes at an additional cost of £300.00 per person. You will be required to book this before the balance due by date to confirm your place on the train. The train route is subject to availability. In the event that this service is unavailable, an alternative train of similar duration will be provided, though the route may differ.
