This morning you head into East Sussex to Rye. This lovely historic town is situated on a hill overlooking Romney Marsh and has a harbour and varied selection of shops. You then continue on to Scotney Castle, a romantic garden with a 14th century moated castle and Victorian country mansion, all nestled in a beautiful wooded estate.

Today you visit the historic city of Canterbury. Dominated by the magnificent cathedral, this compact city centre is best explored on foot, and you have the day to do just that! Among the attractions here are St Augustine's Abbey and the award-winning Canterbury Tales. There are also many shops to visit and delightful tea rooms and restaurants.
